Key Ingredients & Scientific Studies

Sourcing is our priority, formulation our expertise. Each ingredient has been selected for its quality and recognized nutritional role, based on numerous scientific studies (some active ingredients are patented). A clean formula, without superfluous ingredients or controversial additives.

Maca

A plant traditionally used for its properties acting on sexual desire and fertility. Our maca comes from Peru and is a widely studied plant for supporting sperm motility and concentration. [1]

Coenzyme Q10 and N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC)

Scientific research has extensively studied these active ingredients in the context of male fertility. Our Coenzyme Q10 is in ubiquinone form and is combined with selenium (which helps protect cells against oxidative stress, responsible for the formation of free radicals).

N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) is an amino acid precursor to L-cysteine, important for its role in the synthesis of glutathione (a powerful antioxidant). Our raw material is derived from fermentation.

Vitamin B9

Because conception is a couple's project, we include vitamin B9 in its active (methylated) form: Quatrefolic®. Directly assimilated by the body, this vitamin plays an essential role in the cell division process. [1] In men, sperm production (spermatogenesis) is one of these processes. Vitamin B9 is therefore important and provides high-precision nutritional support, perfectly complementing the action of minerals for optimal preparation.

At Boome, we have chosen to combine two forms of vitamin B9: natural folates derived from lemon extract and a patented, methylated form, 5-MTHF Quatrefolic®. This unique and hybrid combination better meets various metabolic profiles. The vitamin B9 from folates is directly sourced from citrus fruits, and lemons in particular.

Zinc

Our zinc is plant-based, extracted from guava leaves. This essential mineral plays a key role: it contributes to normal fertility and reproduction. It also helps maintain normal testosterone levels in the blood. Testosterone is a hormone naturally present in men, involved in various physiological functions related to male development and reproduction. [1]

What science says

Sperm quality declining

Science today highlights a public health emergency. A major meta-analysis, published in the journal Human Reproduction Update [1], revealed that the average sperm concentration in men worldwide dropped by more than 50% between 1973 and 2018. Having children is no longer as easy as it was for our grandparents.

This decline has even accelerated since the early 2000s, increasing from an annual decrease of 1.16% to 2.64% after 2018. Researchers point to our modern environment: exposure to endocrine disruptors, sedentary lifestyles. But science is also exploring the role of oxidative stress and nutritional balance. Indeed, other research highlights that an optimized intake of micronutrients (such as Zinc and Selenium) is essential to support the protective mechanisms of reproductive cells, yet a part of the male population does not meet their average nutritional needs". [2,3]

In this context, male nutritional preparation is no longer an option, but a fundamental pillar of the conception project.

Infertility: A Shared Responsibility

The National Infertility Report (2022), submitted to the Ministry of Health, highlights the impact of environment and nutrition on the quality of gametes in both partners. Reproductive health is a shared responsibility.

30%

causes are masculine in origin.

30%

are of female origin.

40%

are related to both partners or remain unexplained.

Male infertility: an issue too often underestimated

Today, one in two cases of infertility involves male factors. Yet, preconception preparation is still too often handled by women alone.

Baby Boost Homme exists because:

  • The quality of male gametes is in global decline, due to stress, modern diets, and endocrine disruptors.
  • Fertilization depends as much on sperm health as it does on oocyte health.
  • The mental load of preconception should not rest solely on women.

FAQs

Why take male fertility vitamins?

To increase the chances of conception, it is essential to take care of one's fertility (and sperm quality), which is affected by toxins in our food and environment, mobile phone waves, and an unhealthy lifestyle. Sperm quality is directly linked to several factors: oxidative stress that damages cells, sleep quality, and lifestyle (alcohol, tobacco, drugs, sport). In a conception project, the balance is shared: physiological factors are of male origin in 30% of cases, female in 30%, and related to both partners or unexplained for the remaining 40%. Some sperm parameters can be influenced by diet, lifestyle, and a good nutritional status.

Why choose Baby Boost Homme for my parenting journey?

The desire for a child is a journey embarked upon by two people. While we often think of the future mother, male reproductive health is just as crucial. Baby Boost Homme has been designed to support men in their parenting plans by offering targeted nutritional support that contributes to normal fertility and reproduction (thanks to zinc, selenium, and vitamins).

When to start our fertility vitamins for men?

Gametes (or reproductive cells) are renewed on average every 80 days. We recommend taking Baby Boost Homme as soon as you start trying for a baby, ideally three months before conception and for at least three months (or until pregnancy is achieved).

Is a male fertility test (sperm analysis) required before starting?

It is not necessary to have undergone a male fertility test to start the treatment. Baby Boost Homme is a supportive dietary supplement, ideal as soon as the desire to have children arises. However, if you are facing particular challenges related to male infertility, we recommend sharing the composition of our product with your doctor to best integrate it into your follow-up.

Does lifestyle affect the effectiveness of the treatment? How can I optimize my vitamin regimen for male fertility?

A food supplement is an ally, but it does not replace a healthy lifestyle. We recommend combining the treatment with regular physical activity and a good lifestyle. Mental well-being and quality sleep are important physiological factors for optimizing your metabolism, as is a balanced diet, a cornerstone of our health. In addition, to optimize the work of Baby Boost Homme, we recommend a detox cure beforehand with our detox food supplements. Detox aims to help the liver cleanse your body (especially thanks to milk thistle which contributes to liver protection, promotes digestion and body purification).

Who can take our fertility vitamins for men?

Given the global context and the decline in male fertility, Baby Boost Homme is suitable for all men on their paternity journey. Our treatment is ideal for men and couples concerned with preserving and optimizing the quality of their reproductive cells³. Baby Boost is our essential designed for men, just like our pregnancy vitamins or our fertility vitamins for women which contain zinc, myo-inositol, and herbs.

Why are our male fertility vitamins different?

Thanks to our exclusive formula and the combination of Quatrefolic® and natural lemon extract (which replaces synthetic folic acid), we offer a unique formulation. Baby Boost Homme contains essential minerals such as zinc, as well as N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC), an amino acid, a precursor to protective mechanisms, maca, and CoQ10. These ingredients are active compounds studied for their impact on male fertility¹.

Why did you associate Quatrefolic® (5-MTHF) with natural folates?

By diversifying the source of vitamin B9, we ensure ideal complementarity, to better meet varied metabolic profiles. The body has immediate access to the form that suits it best. Quatrefolic® complements the overall intake of our natural folates extracted from lemon, our signature ingredient.
