It is generally provided by food but it is not uncommon to be deficient (especially if you have very heavy periods or are pregnant!) since its deficiency affects 30% of the world population [3,4] .

That's why, to help you prevent deficiencies and increase your blood iron levels [3] , we have chosenFerrochel®, a patented iron bisglycinate that is very well assimilated by the body [4] which will provide you with an effective solution without causing digestive problems [5] .

Iron requirements can increase significantly. Your doctor or healthcare professional will do a blood test to assess the dose necessary for your profile.

Postpartum:

You usually lost a lot of fluid and blood during childbirth. Therefore, iron supplementation is common beginning late in pregnancy. If you are breastfeeding, your needs are often increased, so supplementation is often prescribed.

Very heavy or bleeding periods?

It is not uncommon to find yourself deficient, or even anemic, after a long period of hormonal imbalance, particularly in the case of bleeding periods.

If you think you need additional iron, do not hesitate to speak with your healthcare professional.

How to take my Iron treatment?

Take one capsule with a glass of water, preferably away from drinks containing theine or caffeine (which reduce iron absorption).

It is recommended to consume iron away from multivitamin complexes such as during pregnancy. Certain minerals interact with iron, so take two doses spaced apart (at least 3 hours).

Can I increase the dosage?

Our dosage can be scalablewith the approval of your healthcare professional only. Iron supplementation must be supervised.

Each of our capsules contains 14mg of iron, the maximum dose allowed per capsule. If necessary, and with your doctor or pharmacist, you can increase the dosage.

Food supplements are not a substitute for a varied and balanced diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Keep away from heat and humidity. Keep out of reach of young children.

Pregnant and breastfeeding women are advised to contact a healthcare professional before taking any supplement.

Not recommended for people suffering from illnesses resulting in abnormal iron accumulation (hemochromatosis, polycythemia, etc.).

FAQs

How do I know if I am iron deficient?

Iron deficiency often manifests itself through persistent fatigue, pale skin and mucous membranes, shortness of breath (even during low-intensity exercise) or feelings of dizziness.

If you experience any of these symptoms, you may be iron deficient. We invite you to make an appointment with your doctor so that he can prescribe a blood test.

Is your iron supplement giving you stomach ache?

No! Several scientific studies have shown the benefits of our patented Ferrochel® iron and iron in bisglycinate form in gastrointestinal disorders.

A scientific study, carried out on pregnant women, compared the effects of Ferrochel® to those of ferrous sulfate (another form of iron).

Can I take Pregnancy at the same time as Iron?

Yes! However, we advise you to take your iron food supplement away from a multivitamin complex, such as Grossesse. Some minerals (such as zinc) interact with iron, so you should make sure to space out the two doses (at least 3 hours apart).
For example, we recommend that you take your Pregnancy capsules in the morning and your Iron capsules before your evening meal.

Can I take Iron without a prescription?

It is entirely possible to take Iron without a prescription. However, we advise you to discuss it with your doctor to check if you suffer from an iron deficiency or if you are consuming other food supplements in parallel.

Is it good to take Iron every day?

In case of proven anemia, you can take Iron every day for 3 months. After this period, we advise you to make an appointment with your doctor to have a new blood test.

If you are not iron deficient, but have very heavy periods, you can take Iron at the time of your period to compensate for the iron loss during this time.
