Dosage & instructions for use

Our dosage is 3 capsules per day. You can take them all at once with a meal or spread them throughout the day (with a meal).

How long should I take Multivitamines Grossesse ? We recommend taking our pregnancy vitamins continuously, from when you start trying to conceive until your body has recovered from childbirth, during the postpartum period.

  • During preconception, you can start Multivitamines Grossesse as soon as you desire to have a child, and ideally at least 3 months before conception.
  • During pregnancy, we recommend taking Multivitamines Grossesse for all 9 months to fully benefit from its effects.
  • During postpartum, you can take or continue Multivitamines Grossesse until the end of your breastfeeding period, and up to 1 year after childbirth.

If you need iron: We chose not to include iron for two major reasons:

  1. Iron should not be taken at the same time as certain other minerals. It should not be included in a multivitamin, as it can oxidize and interact with certain micronutrients.
  2. Iron supplementation must be strictly monitored. If you are deficient and also need to take an iron supplement, it is best to take Multivitamines Grossesse in the morning and your iron in the evening.

Why our multivitamin is different?

An iron-free formula

Unlike many pregnancy vitamins, our formula deliberately does not contain iron.

  • Optimized bioavailability:The absence of iron in our prenatal multivitamin allows for the assimilation of other minerals (such as magnesium and zinc) present in our formula, without nutritional competition.
  • Safety:Iron supplementation should not be systematic but targeted by your doctor in cases of proven deficiency (after a blood test). By separating iron from your daily vitamins, we allow you to manage your iron needs in an isolated and optimal way.
Vitamin B9: a unique synergy

Most supplements contain only one source of vitamin B9, and not always the right one. At Boome, we offer a unique synergy of B9 vitamins. By combining natural folates extracted from lemon with the power of Quatrefolic® (5-MTHF), we guarantee bioavailability for all metabolic profiles.

Did you know?
Approximately 40% of women poorly absorb synthetic, unmethylated folic acid, which can render its action almost null.

Why a double source of Folates?

Each body reacts differently. Our formula combines:

  • Lemon extract: Natural folates sourced directly from the heart of citrus fruits
  • 5-MTHF Quatrefolic®: A patented "methylated" form that bypasses digestive transformation steps. It is directly active, even for women who have difficulty absorbing conventional folic acid.

The Plus:
Vitamin B9 never works alone. To maximize its role in cell division, we have surrounded it with a "shield of co-factors"such as vitamin B12, choline, and also zinc and vitamin D.

Authenticity and expertise, Boome's DNA

Multivitamines Grossesse is a hybrid product that targets the increased needs of pregnant women or those wishing to become pregnant, as well as new mothers, to help them replenish their reserves of essential vitamins and minerals. It is an essential nutritional foundation, before, during, and after, designed to support essential needs day after day. It's a formula that can be taken long-term, an everyday essential for you and your baby. Because a pregnancy isn't just a few weeks long; it starts months beforehand.

  • Clean is a minimum requirement: Our pregnancy vitamins are a healthy and natural alternative (no additives or controversial ingredients). Our capsules are made of pullulan, the most natural and solvent-free option on the market.
  • The alliance of nature and science: The vitamins and minerals present in our prenatal multivitamin largely come from plants, fruits, or bio-fermentation. We have combined these natural active ingredients with scientific excellence where the formula required it for better efficacy. For example, our vitamin B9 comes from a blend of natural folates derived from lemon and patented methylated vitamin B9: Quatrefolic®.
  • A rigorous formulation: Multivitamins Pregnancy was co-formulated by gynecologists, naturopaths, and pharmacologists, and is distributed in pharmacies.

Key Ingredients & Scientific Studies

Sourcing is our priority, formulation our expertise. Each ingredient has been selected for its quality and recognized nutritional role, based on numerous scientific studies (some active ingredients are patented). A clean formula, without superfluous ingredients or controversial additives.

Vitamin B9

Vitamin B9 (better known as folic acid) plays multiple roles in the body, particularly during the perinatal period. It is involved in all processes of cell growth and division. Vitamin B9 contributes to the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy. Folic acid supplementation increases the mother's folate status. A low folate status in the mother is a risk factor for neural tube defects in the developing fetus. [1,2]

Vitamin B9 can include: [3]

  • folates, the natural form of vitamin B9, which are naturally present in foods,
  • folic acid, of synthetic origin found in some dietary supplements, but which is not properly absorbed by all women.

Many women are deficient in vitamin B9 without knowing it. Health authorities (ANSES) recommend supplementing with vitamin B9, at a dose of 400 µg/day (amount present in Pregnancy Multivitamin) from the time of conception and during the first three months of pregnancy.

At Boome, we have chosen to combine two forms of vitamin B9: natural folates from lemon extract and a patented and methylated form, 5-MTHF Quatrefolic®. This unique and hybrid combination allows us to better meet varied metabolic profiles. The vitamin B9 from folates is directly sourced from citrus fruits and lemon in particular. We have also combined our vitamin B9 with vitamin B12, zinc, and choline to maximize its effects.

Choline

Few expecting mothers know this, but choline requirements increase during pregnancy. Most prenatal vitamins still overlook it; at Boome, it's at the heart of our formula.

Choline is the precursor to phospholipids, major components of our cell membranes. [1] During pregnancy, the demand for choline intensifies to support the structure of these membranes and meet the increased needs of the maternal organism. Produced by the liver in small quantities, an external supply is necessary to meet these needs. [2,3]

It is widely studied in scientific literature: American epidemiological studies show that nearly 90% of pregnant women have intakes below nutritional recommendations. [4] By integrating a precise dose of choline into our formula, Boome contributes to optimizing nutritional intake, and works hand in hand with folates in the methylation process, a fundamental chemical reaction for DNA synthesis.

Choline acts in complementarity with folates (vitamin B9): it acts as a valuable metabolic cofactor that supports the methylation cycle.

Iodine

Derived from Ascophyllum (a carefully selected brown algae), our iodine is a high-quality natural and plant-based source. It plays a pivotal role from the first day of pregnancy. [1]

  • Cognitive Function & Nervous System:Iodine contributes to normal cognitive function and the normal functioning of the nervous system, essential pillars throughout the perinatal period.
  • Maternal Balance:During pregnancy, iodine requirements increase to support the normal production of thyroid hormones. [2,3] Our natural iodine, provided by our algae, allows for gentle assimilation for normal thyroid function.⁴

FAQs

How long should I take the Multivitamines Grossesse for pregnancy?

We recommend taking our Multivitamines Grossesse dietary supplement from preconception through the postpartum period and throughout your pregnancy. You can continue taking your vitamins after giving birth to help your body regain its balance.

You can combine our Multivitamines Grossesse with our postpartum products, which are perfectly suited for this stage, especially if you are breastfeeding.

Why take prenatal vitamins?

Taking dietary supplements during pregnancy as part of a healthy, varied diet helps support the body and provide it with key nutrients.

At the heart of pregnancy supplementation: vitamin B9 (folate). In France, the findings are striking: only 23% of women receive vitamin B9 supplementation starting in the preconception period (National Perinatal Survey, 2016).

Yet, the importance of high folate levels from the moment a woman plans to conceive is central to the scientific literature. Historical research has shown that supplementation started at least one month before conception significantly increases maternal folate levels. This optimization of the body’s condition is crucial, as low maternal folate levels are a proven risk factor for the development of neural tube defects in the fetus.

In France, 75% of women of childbearing age are deficient in vitamin B9 and may not even be aware of it.

It is preferable to choose well-formulated prenatal vitamins that contain a bioavailable form of vitamin B9 and are free of nanoparticles and other controversial substances. The French College of Gynecologists and Obstetricians (CNGOF) and the French National Authority for Health (HAS) also recommend supplementation with vitamins D and B9.

Smart supplementation should be a long-term commitment. Today, our lifestyles, dietary restrictions, and food processing (overcooking or steps involved in the food industry) no longer allow us to obtain all the vitamins and minerals the body needs to get through every stage of pregnancy. Taking supplements thoughtfully gives your body the support it needs before, during, and after pregnancy.

When should you start taking our prenatal vitamins?

It is recommended to start taking supplements as soon as you begin trying to conceive, particularly to boost your vitamin B9 reserves. The quality of your eggs reflects your nutritional status from three months prior.

In addition to a balanced diet, we therefore recommend taking our Multivitamines Grossesse formula as soon as you start trying to conceive. Our multivitamin provides the same dose (400 µg) of folic acid as is typically prescribed.

If you’re planning a pregnancy, explore our wider range of fertility supplements.

Should I keep taking my folic acid at the same time?

The vitamin B9 in our product is provided at the recommended dosage for women planning a pregnancy and therefore overlaps with the folic acid typically prescribed by healthcare professionals. Multivitamines Grossesse contains 400 µg of vitamin B9, which is equivalent to the recommended daily dose.

Vitamin B9 supports the growth of maternal tissues during pregnancy and reduces the risk of neural tube defects in the fetus. It thus helps meet your needs in a form that the body can easily absorb, whereas folic acid may not be suitable for all metabolic profiles.

Can my partner take the Multivitamines Grossesse ?

Yes! The vitamins and minerals in the Multivitamines Grossesse help support male fertility¹.

We recommend taking it for at least 3 months to support, in particular, the process of producing new sperm (which takes an average of 2.5 months).

Is our Multivitamines Grossesse compatible with assisted reproductive technology (ART)?

We have many customers undergoing assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatments. From the very beginning of Boome, we felt it was essential to be able to support all of you, especially women for whom the journey to parenthood is more complex.

Our Multivitamines Grossesse can be taken alongside your various treatment protocols and will help your body get the essential micronutrients it needs. Please be sure to check with your doctor before use.

Why combine Quatrefolic® (5-MTHF) with natural folates?

By diversifying the sources of vitamin B9, we ensure optimal absorption to better accommodate a variety of metabolic profiles. The body has immediate access to the form that best suits its needs. Quatrefolic® complements the overall intake of our signature natural folates extracted from lemons.

Why choose a “methylated” form of vitamin B9 (5-MTHF) over folic acid?

Scientific research indicates that approximately 1 in 3 women has a genetic variant (MTHFR) that prevents the proper absorption of standard folic acid [1,2]. Boome uses directly active folates—Quatrefolic® 5-MTHF—that are bioavailable to all women without requiring further conversion by the body.

Is your vitamin B9 dosage appropriate if I have an MTHFR mutation?

Yes, absolutely. It’s one of the cornerstones of our formula. By combining Quatrefolic® 5-MTHF (a pre-methylated form) with natural folates from lemons, we ensure direct absorption by the body, bypassing any potential genetic blockages in the liver.
