Ingredients Key

Strain very widely found in the dominant vaginal microbiota,Lactobacillus crispatusplays a key role in the balance of the female intimate flora. [1]
A study suggested that oral supplementation withL.crispatus(3 billion daily for 3 months) may be beneficial for symptoms associated with bacterial vaginosis and vulvovaginal candidiasis, such as itching and amount of discharge. [2] Other studies have shown thatL.crispatusmay be associated with a reduced risk of preterm birth, suggesting a positive role in pregnancy. [3]

Several studies have highlighted the interest ofLactobacillus rhamnosusin the maternity journey. A study showed that supplementation withL. rhamnosuscould be associated with improved self-assessment scores related to emotional well-being in the postpartum period. [4] In combination with other strains such asL. reuteri,L. rhamnosuscould have a positive effect on the balance of the vaginal and rectal microbiota. [5]

Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantisis naturally present in the intestinal flora. One study suggests that a 30-day supplementation with 1 billionB. infantisper day could have a positive role on digestive comfort and intestinal well-being. [6] Another study, carried out on 42 people, showed that supplementation with 1 billionB. infantisper day for 12 weeks could be associated with improved digestive comfort. [7]

Why consume probiotics?

Why consume probiotics?

A balanced microbiota is the foundation of optimal health and our intestinal and intimate flora are populated by good and "bad" bacteria.

Probiotics support the balance of our flora by populating it with beneficial microorganisms.

There are many factors that can damage or unbalance the microbiota (diet, stress, illness, taking certain medications, etc.). Probiotics thus contribute to the balance of the intestinal flora.

On the intimate sphere:
The vaginal microbiota is mainly composed ofLactobacillus, lactic acid bacteria that maintain an acidic environment to prevent the proliferation of certain pathogenic bacteria. In the event of an imbalance in the vaginal flora (known as “dysbiosis”), the content ofLactobacillusis lower and the vaginal pH increases, creating a playground conducive to the growth of unwanted microorganisms, generally responsible for intimate discomfort (such as vaginosis, vaginal mycosis, vaginitis, etc.)

On the intestinal sphere:
The gut microbiota plays a key role in metabolic, immune, and barrier functions. However, an imbalance can lead to digestive discomfort such as diarrhea, flatulence, or constipation.

On the maternity journey:
Can probiotics play a role? Several studies show their benefits at every stage of pregnancy.

  • In pre-conception:An “unbalanced” vaginal microbiota couldnegatively affect the chances of pregnancy. A scientific study has also shown that an intimate microbiota poor inLactobacilluscould significantly decrease implantation, pregnancy, and live birth rates, highlighting the importance of a healthy vaginal microbiota for conception. Furthermore, one review observed that the vaginal microbiota of fertile women was dominated byLactobacillus spp. whereas infertile women had an unbalanced microbiota. Thus, probiotics could have a positive role in reproductive health. [1-4]

  • In the PMA process:The use of probiotics is encouraged by many health professionals in the medium term. For women engaged in medically assisted procreation, a balanced microbiotacould play a role in nesting success, thus the implantation of the embryo in the uterus. Certain probiotics, by supporting hormonal balance and helping to modulate inflammation, could help create a more welcoming environment for the embryo. Thus, integrating probiotics before PMA would promote optimal conditions for implantation and increase the chances of success. [3]

  • During pregnancy:A scientific review suggests that a microbiota poor inLactobacilluscould be associated with a higher risk of preterm births, compared with a vaginal microbiota dominated byL. crispatus. [5] Another study showed that babies born vaginally had bacterial communities similar to their mother's vaginal microbiota. Thus, if the mother's vaginal microbiota is poor inLactobacillus, this could influence the composition of the newborn's microbiota. [6]

  • Postpartum:Some probiotics such asL. rhamnosushave shown promising results on emotional well-being. [7,8]

Our Probiotics product combines a set of lactic ferments necessary for intestinal flora and intimate flora.

Usage tips

To fully benefit from the benefits of our Probiotics treatment for intimate and intestinal flora, a few simple steps can make all the difference. Here are our recommendations to ensure optimal use:

How do I take my treatment?

Take 1 capsule daily with a large glass of water, preferably in the morning. This routine ensures a consistent daily intake of beneficial bacteria.

It is recommended to take probiotics on an empty stomach, approximately 30 to 15 minutes before breakfast. If you prefer to take them at another time of day, simply make sure to consume them away from meals (minimum 2 hours) and away from hot drinks that could impact the effectiveness of the treatment.

Duration and regularity:

A minimum 3-month course of treatment is recommended. Consistency is key to fully experiencing the benefits of our Probiotics treatment for intestinal and intimate flora.

Prolonged consumption is possible, this allows good bacteria to establish themselves and restore the microbial balance in a sustainable manner.

Storage conditions:

To maintain the quality of the strains, store the capsules in a cool, dry place. Our probiotics are stored in a cool, dry place upon manufacture, as well as in our logistics warehouse to maintain their effectiveness. At home, ideally, store them in the refrigerator to ensure their freshness and long-term benefits. Although our probiotics are stable at room temperature, refrigerated storage prolongs their effectiveness.

FAQs

I forgot to refrigerate my probiotics, is this serious?

To best preserve the effectiveness of your probiotics, it is recommended to refrigerate them upon receipt. Don't worry about shipping time; the strains are formulated to remain stable during transport.

✨ Highlight: Unlike most probiotics on the market, our products are kept fresh from the time they are manufactured until they are shipped. This requirement guarantees vibrant probiotics and optimal effectiveness.

If you forgot to refrigerate them, they're still safe to eat. However, keep in mind that heat accelerates the gradual decline in probiotic viability and therefore their effectiveness. To continue to fully benefit from their benefits, it's best to refrigerate them as soon as possible!

How to restore your intimate and/or intestinal flora?

Rebuilding healthy flora, whether it is intimate or intestinal flora, is essential to maintain an optimal balance of bacteria and preserve intimate comfort on a daily basis.

- Vaginal flora plays a key role in the natural protection of the intimate area. By producing lactic acid, this flora maintains an acidic pH that helps prevent the proliferation of unwanted bacteria responsible for vaginal and urinary tract infections. Its balance can be disrupted by various factors such as antibiotic treatments, the menstrual cycle, or frequent sexual intercourse.

- The intestinal flora, or intestinal microbiota, is composed of billions of microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi) that live in the intestine. It plays a crucial role in digesting food, producing certain vitamins (such as vitamin K), and strengthening the immune system. A balanced microbiota also helps protect the intestine against digestive and inflammatory disorders.

Our Probiotics product, by providing specific probiotic strains such as Lactobacillus crispatus, Lactobacillus reuteri, and Bifidobacterium longum, helps restore the balance of intestinal and intimate flora. These strains have been carefully selected for their effectiveness, proven in the scientific literature, with numerous studies attesting to their benefits on digestive, immune, and intimate health.

Oral probiotics are a real asset: they act directly on the digestive system and, thanks to the intestinal-vaginal axis, they also have a beneficial effect on intimate flora and the maintenance of mucous membranes. By choosing strains validated by science, Boome offers comprehensive support for your digestive, immune, and intimate well-being.

How do I know if my microbiota is unbalanced?

A need for probiotics can manifest itself through several signs indicating an imbalance in your vaginal or intestinal flora:

- Digestive disorders: bloating, irregular transit (diarrhea, constipation), abdominal discomfort, often linked to an alteration of the intestinal microbiota.

- Intimate imbalances: discomfort or vaginal infections (mycoses, vaginosis) or frequent urinary tract infections.

- Weakened immunity: increased sensitivity to seasonal infections or minor everyday ailments.

- Prolonged stress: Stress can disrupt the balance of the intestinal microbiota via the gut-brain axis, thus impacting our overall well-being.

- Hormonal fluctuations: pregnancy, menopause, menstrual cycle or postpartum, which directly influence the intestinal and intimate flora.

- After antibiotic treatment: the flora is often very weakened and this can lead to digestive or intimate imbalances.

If you experience one or more of these signs persistently, it may be a sign of a compromised microbiota, and the action of probiotics on the intimate and intestinal flora will be beneficial. If you have any doubts or persistent symptoms, seeking medical advice can help you determine if a course of probiotics is appropriate for your needs.

When to take probiotics?

Boome probiotics are a natural and effective solution to help rebalance the intimate and intestinal flora. Taking them can be particularly beneficial in several cases:

- Support pregnancy and postpartum: a balanced microbiota during this period supports the digestive and intimate well-being of the future mother and promotes the transmission of healthy flora to the baby.

- Strengthen the microbiota as a preventative measure: Our modern lifestyles (processed foods, stress, pollution, medications) weaken our flora on a daily basis. Providing support with good bacteria helps preserve its balance and maintain good digestive, immune, and intimate function.

- Improve digestive comfort: supporting the intestinal microbiota helps with better digestion, limiting bloating and regulating transit.

- Maintain a balanced intimate and urinary flora: thanks to the intestinal-vaginal axis, oral probiotics contribute to a favorable microbiota, thus reducing the risk of discomfort or intimate infections.

- Restore flora after antibiotic treatment: probiotics help limit digestive side effects and prevent possible intimate imbalances.

- Maintain the balance of the microbiota during periods of stress or hormonal fluctuations: these can disrupt the microbiota, supplementation can help maintain its natural balance.

Probiotics have multiple effects, and they can help you every day! Made up of specific strains, some of which belong to the lactic acid bacteria family, they contribute perfectly to the balance of the microbiota.

For optimal effectiveness, take on an empty stomach or between meals, for a period of 1 to 3 months, or longer, depending on your needs.

Which probiotics for urinary comfort?

Urinary tract infections, such as cystitis, are often caused by the migration of pathogenic bacteria (particularly Escherichia coli) into the urinary tract or by an imbalance in the intimate flora. Probiotics can play a valuable role in prevention by promoting an environment conducive to maintaining a balanced flora.

💡 Certain probiotics, including Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium, play a key role in maintaining a protective intimate environment. The strains present in the Boome Probiotics supplement have been selected for their action on the intestinal and intimate flora:

  • Lactobacillus crispatus BIO6272: naturally present in the vaginal flora, it helps maintain an optimal pH and limits the adhesion of pathogenic bacteria.
  • Lactobacillus rhamnosus BIO6870 & Lactobacillus reuteri BIO5454: promote the balance of the intestinal and intimate microbiota, particularly after an imbalance (taking antibiotics, stress, hormonal variations).
  • Bifidobacterium longum BIO6283 & Bifidobacterium infantis BIO5478: strengthen the intestinal barrier and indirectly participate in the overall balance of the microbiota, thus influencing the intestine-vagina axis.

A regular course of probiotics can therefore help maintain a balanced intimate flora and support urinary comfort over the long term.

📍 Important: In case of acute cystitis, it is essential to consult a healthcare professional. Probiotics can accompany medical treatment but are not a substitute for prescribed antibiotics.

Are there any contraindications to taking probiotics?

Probiotics are microorganisms naturally present in our microbiota (but their quantity and diversity are often altered by our lifestyle). This is why they are generally very well tolerated and without contraindications, but like any dietary supplement, as a precautionary measure, certain situations may require medical advice:

- Immunocompromised people: In the event of immunosuppressive treatment (chemotherapy, transplant, autoimmune disease), a healthcare professional will be able to advise you on the best approach.

- People hospitalized or in intensive care: In critically ill patients, the use of probiotics should be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

- Babies and young children: Because their microbiota is still developing, it's best to choose strains and dosages specifically tailored to their age to respect the delicate balance of their intestines. A healthcare professional can guide you toward a suitable solution.

- Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in acute flare-ups: During a severe flare-up, some probiotics may not be suitable. Medical advice is recommended to adapt supplementation according to the situation.
